Room (spatial perception), secret (metaphorical symbols), apparition, riddles, and paradox (communicative symbols) are the key words in my work. My work does not focus on a specifically meaningful object. The above-listed key words function as basic elements as a whole to draw out the subject in my work.
For me, a space contains condensed images of a materialized physical space as well as an amorphous space of history of time. We reside in a certain space. Willingly or unwillingly we eat, sleep, excrete, feel and remember in a given space. Like this, a personal space entirely records and conceals a person’s moments and scraps of life. I recognize a space by visualizing an apparitional space to reveal the non-real inner space and building it into a three dimensional piece. My work start with this process of art-making
Trans- Connection/statement
Two separate eyes(between me and others) have gaps of the invisible, the gap makes the boundary. We only believe shown on, and only it gives the truth. It doesn’t seem but the red line exist in the gap.
Each individual stay on the boundary as self-made outside.
The differentiated two areas, there is all personal experience, the history of the times. But different ideals become a drag for trans-connection. As an adult, Peter pan free from physical notion at the moment, the non-material things are unfolding as visualized. So, when all boundaries(truth-untruth, real-unreal, me-others) transgress, we can make real communication(trans-connection).
True eyes – You can see the truth
‘Pandora cannot resist the curiosity and opens the prohibited box' (in Greek Mythology)
Very curious humans have developed science and technology, and it helps to offer the most advanced life. By the gifts of civilization, we are living on the paved road. Disregarding the truth of Pandora's Box, we are living as a fence sitter in grey city. In general, seeing the truth is not comfortable. Perhaps truth may not be viewed as an entity but be formed by means of all sorts of power and media. We prefer doing nothing but stand behind the curtain and watch the situation, moreover, pursue the pleasant truth. Through the theme, “True Eyes - You Can See the Truth ", I ask myself a deep question what truth is and what a real life is, indeed.

Room19
‘Room19’ is an imaginary place, which is a resting place like a cradle, the surreal one without any barrier of time and space. People who live in extreme tensions of tempo of life tend to play so many roles and characters, to have many personas, losing the real soul. While there are no romantic ideas, absence of self-reflection, the referring of ‘Room 19’, which has been given to us as a place for absolute freedom and romanticism, may sound stupid it has a profound meaning. Nevertheless I would like to ask art-based questions, forcing us to think for which reason we are speeding up.
